The story behind the rebrand

New look, same great service….

When Emily returned to work for the family business, the Brecon office needed more space. We therefore decided to request the help of BBi and Neil Parkinson builders to give the office a new look after 30 years! As with all projects the work required was more than we first thought... walls being knocked down, the biggest RSJ we've ever seen put in! So we had to temporarily move into an office round the corner (the work must go on after all!) but what we were left with was a fantastic open space.

BBi got to it and created us a modern, usable and impressive office. A complete new look. We no longer looked like a typical boring estate agents. Instead a contemporary, modern and relaxed office similar to what you’d expect to find in London not Brecon.

To go with this new look and new colour scheme we contacted a company called Design Dough in Cardiff to help us rebrand further. We wanted a new logo, new letterheads, new sale details and new for sale boards. The biggest change was probably with regards to our sale details. For a long time we’ve said that we can sell a property with just the price and photos… so now was the time to put it into practice.

No one reads whether a room as 4 power points, a door and a radiator! Instead they look at the price, location, photographs and floor plan. We therefore got rid of that boring written information and adopted a more lifestyle approach concentrating on quality photos. It did take a few vendors by surprise but soon enough people came round to the idea and when we kept selling houses they realised it worked!

As well as the office our website needed updating as well. Resource Techniques are therefore in the progress of developing us a new, responsive website to continue our new look. A website being responsive is vital as most people now search for properties on a tablet or phone. They therefore want to be able to do this easily without having to fiddle about zooming in etc. According to Rightmove now a third of their users access the site via a tablet! And this is set to grow.

Our new website should be ready in November so watch this space!
