The village has a local shop, pub, outdoor activity centre and village hall and also has good road links to the A465 (Heads of the Valley) Road towards Swansea.

The historic market town of Abergavenny is located less than 3 miles away and has a range of independent shops, supermarkets, a theatre, cinema, general hospital, primary and secondary schools and a mainline train station.
